From the early days of dating, Dan dreamed of the day Kate would one day learn to speak French. He wanted her to feel at home with his francophone family, to learn to love his favorite city of Montreal, and to raise their children bilingually some day. With the gap between grad school (for Kate) and more grad school (for Dan), we have a unique opportunity to spend the summer diving headfirst into Quebecois culture, including a three week intensive French course for Kate. It may be a little non-traditional to have a summer-long honeymoon before the wedding, but then again, we're pretty unorthodox!
